| Much has changed since last I wrote.
I live in Midwest City now with my silly-pants boyfriend.
Okay, so not much has changed, but that was a biggie.
I need a haircut.

P.S. Attilla The Hunny-bear says hello. So do the other two ass-hats (Leia and Alabee).

| A lot of people at work (and otherwise) have been asking me lately if I've seen this or that movie. The answer is no, I probably haven't. I have to drive to work instead. If your a high roller and you'd like to take me, I'll warm your arm for a few hours (and eat all of your popcorn), but unless that's in the cards, do stop asking. I realize that the movie is being/has been released. I understand the movie is really good/ terrible. I'm just jazzed that you just have to/ would never see that movie again. Yes, he IS looking great after rehab! Yes, I KNOW he is in his 60's! It's all SO wonderful! Now leave me alone. So who out there is excited about November? We'd better be, or else we're fucked. I went to the dentist after an over 5 year absence. I really don't recommend that. You'll leave the office with four teeth extracted, a root canal prep, a few fillings, and a world of pain. I've been back since then to get the actual root canal and the temporary crown (the silver molar I affectionately refer to as my "pirate tooth"). I get the permanent porcelain crown later in the month. I was hoping it would be gold. That would have significantly upped my street cred. Christian Chanse | | |
| For some strange reason I have the whole of today to do whatever I want. I haven't had a Monday off in ages. It's a nice way to start off the conventional work week. I've been knitting so much lately. It's as if I don't know what to do with myself otherwise. I'm thinking about a stroll at the lake later... It's really very nice outside. I went to the Zoo on Saturday morning. Conditions were perfect. The weather was beautiful (cool, but very sunny with a nice breeze). The animals were more active than I've seen them in awhile. My immediate family has this strange traveling tradition. No matter what city we go to, if it has a zoo, we will be there. The Berlin Zoo was amazing. There were hardly any fences between you and the animals. They had moats built around the enclosers (width and depth dependant on the build and abilities of the animals being contained). In most cases, it looked like you could just walk right over and thoop them on their noses. On the other hand, I couldn't shake the uneasiness of what they must have been thinking about us in return. I think I am going to get a Zoo pass and walk around the Zoo whenever I get bored. I had the most disturbing dream in recent memory last night. When I woke up, I was nearly hyperventilating, and it took me a second to calm down and realize where I was. Right before I woke up, dream me was literally helpless. That doesn't often happen to dream me. She is usually very good at flying away from or finding an alternate route around whatever adversity she may happen upon. Not this time. This was far beyond the brutality of what I thought my mind capable of coming up with. Dream me didn't know how to handle it, and real me is very confused. I need to get back to my knitting. Mothers Day is around the corner. Christian Chanse | | |
| Life has an incredibly interesting way of kicking you square in the ass. You can put so much love into something and watch it grow. It's so amazing. So amazing, in fact, that you ultimately repress the knowledge that you have no control over it. I don't think it's the future that scares people near as much as the past. I think the means are what matters, not the end. In that respect, I never would have done anything differently, even if it puts me in the rub I'm in now. Christian Chanse P.S. It isn't what you think it is. It's vague because I wanted it to be, but I had to write something. That's our vice. Get over it. | | |
| My Friday night:
Pictured above is my doggy's insides. Note the beacon of death? Some little sociopath shot my dog with a pellet gun. She is extremely drugged and out of it, but she is becoming herself again. She wasn't roaming around or anything. She was in the backyard. She must have crawled through the doggy door like that because she was huddled up in the kitchen corner when I got home. Someone came up to my backyard with a pellet gun and shot my dog... I don't understand that. Christian Chanse | | |
